Pack Appropriate Clothing
All of that picturesque Christmas snow can make a Southern Utah winter a little chilly. Brian Head alone gets an average of 370 inches of snowfall every year, which makes it crucial to pack appropriately for a Christmas getaway to the area. We’re talking base layers, water-resistant outer shells, hats, socks and boots – when it comes to clothing, more is more. Skip out on conserving suitcase space in favor of throwing in an extra pair of woolen socks in the bag. You’ll thank us when you’re hiking in comfortably warm bliss. It’s totally worth it!
Bring The Right Gear
If you’re spending your Christmas pursuing outdoor fun, you’ll need to pack the right gear. Solid hiking boots and a waterproof backpack are some examples of things you might consider bringing. Believe it or not, you should also bring a good pair of sunglasses if you’ll be outdoors – it is still bright during winter, and the sun can throw some real shade off of the pearly white snow (get it?). Of course, don’t forget your carrots for Santa’s Reindeer, too. Better move that to the top of the list.
Book The Right Accommodations
To have a truly holly jolly Christmas, you’ll need to find the perfect place to stay. Family Time Vacation Rentals has plenty of warm, cozy spots in the area that are perfect for your stay – and right on Santa’s map. If you’re traveling with a group, check out our Dixie National Forest Luxury Estate Lodge.
